Asaf Ganot

Now this is the man we’d want to dress our man. Asaf Ganot has perfected the look of rugged sophistication in his namesake label, with clothes that are suave, intriguing, minimal and practical, all at the same time. He’s struck gold with the rich and famous—celebrities like the San Antonio Spurs’ Patty Mills and actor Vincent Piazza have been seen sporting his threads.

In the luxury retailer’s fashion show, Neiman Marcus will showcase on the runway high-end designers it carries in store. Beware: as with Neiman's show at the inaugural HONOLULU Fashion Week, this year’s collection will make you seriously consider selling your car in order to afford that amazing LBD. Stay strong.

Live Aloha

As with any other fashion, alohawear has evolved throughout the decades to adapt to the ever-changing tastes of locals. At the Live Aloha runway show, you’ll get a chance to see four local designers who have taken aloha attire into the 21st century. Featuring brands Noa Noa, ‘IOLANI Sportswear, Manaola Hawai‘i and Manuheali‘i.

Reyn Spooner

Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, the brand gets a little nostalgic on the runway with a collection of six decades of alohawear, starting with the old—Reyn Spooner’s most coveted styles from way-back-when—then moving to well-known fashion houses and ending with its new 60th anniversary collection of their best-loved prints.

Runway to Runway presented by Hawaiian Airlines

When Hawaiian Airlines brings it, it brings it. This year, the airline is again flying in five international designers to showcase their latest on the HONOLULU Fashion Week runway. Featured designers will be: Dion Lee, from Sydney; PELI, from Tokyo; Younhee Park, from Seoul; Marissa Webb, from New York City and Hawai‘i’s own Jeffrey Yoshida. Feel like getting to know them a bit better? Check out our post on Runway to Runway.

Manaola Hawai‘i

Considering he comes from a family of award-winning hula practicioners and musicians, it’s no wonder that the clothing Carrington Manaola Yap designs for Manaola Hawai‘i is deeply rooted in traditional Hawaiian style, which he then marries with a modern aesthetic. The result? Unique, gorgeous pieces in handmade prints you can’t find anywhere else.

Kini Zamora, a Reach the Runway Benefit

Kini Zamora of Project Runway fame will showcase pieces from his Fall/Winter 2016 Collection. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Reach the Runway, HONOLULU Fashion Week’s official nonprofit that mentors O‘ahu middle school students who dream of working in fashion.

Ward Village

Curated pieces from your favorite Ward Village retailers will take the stage. Expect to see looks from Big Bad Wolf, The Collective, Kealopiko, MORI by Art + Flea and POSHd by Valerie Joseph. The best part is, if you see something you like, you know exactly where to find it.

LeaLea presents: RINKAgram

With a face that has graced more than 250 magazine covers, Rinka is kind of a big deal. As of late, she’s put away her catwalking boots to start her own label, LI HUÀ, which features the holy grail of fashion: gorgeous clothes that are actually comfortable. But don’t take our word for it—see for yourself.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health presents: Beautiful Survivors

Survivors of all types of illness come together to celebrate life and strut their stuff on the runway in Beautiful Survivors. Donning clothing provided by Kāhala Mall’s retailers, the models of all ages prove that you’re never too old (or young) to rock fashion.

Designer show sold out? Don't worry, hope is not lost. You can still view it live on a big screen during the event.
