Etheral cuts, airy fabrics and fantastical, super-sized dandelion fixtures dominated the NYFW runway show for Korean designer Lie Sang Bong’s eponymous line this past spring. We got a first-hand peek at the action in New York, which was replete with a combination of both ultra-crisp and flowing lines, layered textures, geometric patters and restrained plays on blues and white—a fashionista's fairy tale set-up. Lie’s eye for otherworldly drama and high-impact details always make for some seriously gorgeous ensembles (check out our Fashion Week Diary from last year as well), so we’re beyond excited that he’ll be a part of HONOLULU Fashion Week’s Hawaiian Airlines Runway to Runway show, happening this Saturday at 8 p.m. Sangbong will be joined by other top-tier brands AULA, Todd Snyder, Kaypee Soh and Ellery for a sartorial presentation that will take you around the world and back.
Get your fix now by ogling our behind-the-scenes gallery from Sang Bong’s Spring 2016 New York show, then watch his pieces hit the catwalk at the Honolulu Convention Center come Saturday. See you at the runway!
Runway to Runway seated and front-row tickets are sold out, but first-come, first-served standing room is available upon arrival.
Check out our behind-the-scenes pics from New York Fashion Week this past spring, showcasing the runway show from Lie Sang Bong, one of our international designers from HONOLULU Fashion Week’s Hawaiian Airlines Runway to Runway fashion show. Lie set the stage with his scene-stealing, airy concoctions and unexpected silhouettes in shades of blue and crisp white. See more of Lie’s work this Saturday at 8 p.m at the Hawai'i Convention Center.
